Mr. Benton Eldridge of Level Plains, passed away at Flowers Hospital on Monday, September 14, 2009.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas with Ermert Funeral Home of Corning, Arkansas (870-857-3596) directing. The family will receive friends at Ermert Funeral Home from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2009. Byrd Funeral Home of Dothan has charge of all local arrangements.
Mr. Eldridge was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Goldie Eldridge. He is also preceded by a great-grandson, Brandon Tant; sisters, Dorothy Peters and Louise Hart; a brother, Billy Joe Eldridge; nephews, James Eldridge, Gale Eldridge, Jimmy Hart, and Cody Peters and a niece, Barbara Caldwell.
Mr. Eldridge is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Eldridge. Also surviving are daughters, Patricia Eldridge of Daleville, Alabama and Nancy Douglas (Brian) of Newton, Alabama; sons, Doyle Eldridge (Rhonda), of Dallas, Texas, Douglas Eldridge (Rhonda), of Monetta, SC., Gregory Eldridge of Level Plains, Alabama; grandchildren, Natasha Quebec (Charles), Robert Wayland (Rachael), Jessica Reyes, Ashley Douglas, Daric Wayland, Michael Douglas (Danielle), Andy Wayland, Benton Eldridge, Kristina Mason (Robert), Travis Eldridge, and Laura Roberts; great-grandchildren, Bryanna Douglas, Sabrina Quebec, Beau Quebec, John Tant, Robert Wayland, Cahlin Douglas.
