Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Eddlemon, age 81, of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Funeral service for Mrs. Eddlemon will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford with Bro. Jason Bogardus officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery of Rutherford, Tennessee.
Mrs. Eddlemon was born on November 3, 1932 to the late Ernest and Emma Townsend Howe. Mrs. Eddlemon was a retired dental assistant and bookkeeper. Mrs. Eddlemon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rutherford. Mrs. Eddlemon was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert "Bob" Jones Eddlemon, her parents, two brothers Guy Howe, Hallie Howe, and one great grandchild. Mrs. Eddlemon is survived by two daughters Vicki King, and Rhonda Butterworth, and one son Jeff Eddlemon (Lesa),eight grandchildren, Keith McGaughy, Natalie Hewitt, Todd King, Keshia Norwood, Alyssa Hubbard, Christie Eddlemon, Ami McCall, Jason Eddlemon, thirteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and sister, Lessie Howe.
Visitation for Mrs. Eddlemon will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford. Karnes and Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Eddlemon.
