Mrs. Lewis (Mae C.) Bushey, 71, died Saturday at 3:15 p.m. at the Fuller Rest Home, Eau Claire, where she had been living the last three years.
Born March 16, 1886 in Pittsford, Va. (says VA, but I think it is VT), she married Lewis Bushey, who survives her, on Jan. 22, 1909. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January. They lived for many years at 810 Main Street, St. Joseph, then moved to Franklinville, N.J. before returning to Eau Claire.
Surviving children are Mrs. Elston (Helen) Stinchcomb, Michigan City, Ind.; Mrs. D.C. (Frances) Baylis, Benton Harbor; Mrs. Lewis (Alice) Smith, Bridgman; Miss Jeanette Bushey, Baltimore, Md.; Raymond D., Washington, Ohio; and Howard, stationed with the U.S. Army in Stuttgart, Germany.
Other survivors include 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Richardson Dow of Vermont, and three sisters, Mrs. Orrie (Lynn) Hall, Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. Ernest Lackard, Bergenns, Vt.; and Mrs. Margaret Minogue, Burlington, Vt.
Funeral services will be held at the Kerlikowske Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd Walker of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, St. Joseph officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph.
