Minnie Himes
Funeral services will be held this afternoon for Mrs. Minnie Himes, 73, a former resident of Anita, who died Friday in the home of her son, William Himes in Detroit, Mich.
The Rev. George C. Culp will officiate at services in the Pifer Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Church of God Cemetery at Emerickville.
Born October 15, 1885, in Emerickville, she was a daughter of David and Ellen Siverling Dinger and was married July 1, 1909, to Gordon Himes, who died in 1954. She was a memeber of the Church of God in Emerickville. A Former resident of Anita, she had lived with her son in Detroit the past 15 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Olive McGee of Punxsutawney R. D. 5; a son, William Himes, of Detroit; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
