This census says Ella immigrated in 1884 and was naturalized. Nels immigrated in 1906 and was naturalized in 1919. Walter was a farmer. Byan and Boyd were farm laborers on the home farm. Nels was a farm laborer.

Byan Dewey, 94
A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Park Hill Cemetery for Byan Dewey, 94, who died Tuesday, April 1, 1997, in Vancouver. A Vancouver resident since 1943, Mr. Dewey was a heavy equipment mechanic. He retired in 1971.
He was born April 10, 1902, in Westside, Iowa. Mr. Dewey, a member of the American Legion in Portland, enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, at home; one daughter, Shirley Leighton of Mossy Rock, Wash.; one brother, Walter E. of Battle Ground; two sisters, Minta Murphy of Vancouver and Faye Miller of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and three grandsons.
The casket will be open until 6 p.m. today at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home.
