Mrs. Margaret Paterson Demi of Coal Hill Road died in her sleep of a heart ailment at her home Friday, May 11. She was 74 years old.
Mrs. Demi was born in Alloa, Scotland June 12, 1881, the daughter of the late James and Anne Paterson. She came to this country with her parents when she was six weeks old. She was married to James L. Demi, who survives, May 21, 1901.
She is also survived by a son, James L. Demi Jr., Clearfield R.D. and four daughters: Mrs. Esther Cochrane, Brookville; Mrs. Anne Dunsmoie, Norristown, Pa.; Mrs. Sylvia Condran, Clearfield and Mrs. Virginia Williams, Emporium.
Other survivors are seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother, James S. Paterson, Clearfield R. D. and a sister, Mrs. Marion Ziegler, Rochester, N.Y. A daughter, Mrs Maude Turner preceded her in death.
If Mrs. Demi had lived until May 21 she would have celebrated her 55th wedding anniversary.
Funeral services will be held from the Leavy Funeral Home Monday afternoon, May 14, at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Dr. Croyle, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9 p.m. tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. and until time of services Monday.
