Mary worked for many years in childcare. She was a member of the Heaven Bound Pentecostal Church in Norman. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Paul Deatherage; her mother, Patricia Ann Newsom; one brother, Robert LeMay; and her grandparents, John Burl and Mary Irene Newsom and George Raymond and Mary Ethel Hinsley.
Mary is survived by one daughter, Amanda Lynn Deatherage of McLoud; her father, J.B. Newsom, Sr. and his wife, Kay, of Dibble; two sisters, Bonnie Dell Newsom of Dibble and Mishael LeMay of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Johnny Bruce Newsom of Dibble, J.B. Newsom, Jr. of Dibble, Raymond D. Bagley of Dibble and Michael LeMay of Oklahoma City; and many other loved ones and friends.
