---Eighty-two year old Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Snell, a resident of La Plata for most of her life, died Tuesday in a Kirksville rest home.---.Mrs. Snell had suffered a stroke at her La Plata home about three weeks ago and was taken to Grim-Smith Hospital. She was moved from there to the rest home where she died.
---Mrs. Snell, the daughter of D.T. and Martha E. Dean, was born in Clark County, Illinois on September 19, 1874.
---On January 29, 1892 she was married to Jesse Snell. Four children were born, two of whom preceded her in death.
---Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Olin Davis of La Plata; a son, Warner Snell of Kirksville; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Edward Dean, whose whereabouts is unknown, and a sister, Mrs. Rosie Blodgett of Kansas.
---Her husband died in 1932.
---Funeral services are this afternoon at 2:00 at the Baptist Church, Rev. Claude Thompson officiating.
