He was a self employed farmer for 40 years and retired from General Motors in 1993 as a utility set up worker.
He was a US Army veteran serving as a SGT E-5 and a 1962 graduate of Middletown High School.
He was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church, UAW #662, Middletown Lodge F & AM #271 and the American legion of Middletown.
He had been preceded in death by his mother and father and a nephew, Tony.
Servivors are his wife: Jeannie of Middletown, a son: Justin Day (Shannon) of Middletown, 2 brothers: Norman of Middletown and Darrell (Judy) of North Carolina, 1 sister: Deanne Jessop (Danny) of Arcadia, 2 grandchildren: Shelbey and Josey Day of Middletown.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in Miller Cemetery.
