Betty Ann Dawson Cartwright, 75, of Hawesville, passed away on August 23, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Betty was born in Hancock County on March 5, 1941 to the late Estil R. and Louise Young Dawson. She was a Nurse's Aide and worked several years at General Electric. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Betty loved going to Florida and watching the sunsets and loved spending time with her sisters and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Cartwright; siblings, Marcia Kay Dawson Estil R. Dawson, Jr., Brenda Simpson, Alice Tindle and Kent Greely; a grandson, Travis Schultz and a great granddaughter, Kensley Steffen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 25, 2016 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in St. Rose Cemetery. Betty's family will be greeting friends on Thursday from 3 pm until 8 pm and Friday morning from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
