JONESPORT - Elva B. Crowley, 93, received her heavenly wings and was met by her Lord Jesus and heavenly family Oct. 9, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, in Milbridge. Elva was born March 17, 1919, in Jonesport.

A very loyal and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and a faithful servant to her Lord and church, Elva was the oldest member of Jonesport Wesleyan Church. She taught Sunday school for many years along with heading Missionary Services. Elva worked many years as a grader for local sardine factories and later at Three Rivers, Jonesport. She spent many hours playing games, especially Skip-Bo, and putting puzzles together with her family.

Elva is survived by her son, Oscar and his wife, Judy; daughters, Maureen and her husband, Jim, Karen and her husband, Ted, and Ardene and her husband, Bob; daughter-in-law, Jane; 34 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Myron Crowley; son, Arlin Myron Crowley; parents, Napoleon R. and Sarah J. Beal; brothers, James, John, Roosevelt, Arlin and Lyman; and sisters, Phoebe, Leola and Phyllis.

Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport. (Bangor Daily News 10/11/2012)
