Kenneth W.Cowdrey, 68,of Naches, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Ken was born December 21, 1942 in Yakima, Washington to John and Wanda Cowdrey. He graduated from Highland High School and Yakima Valley College. He also attended Washington State University. On April 10, 1965,he and Delaine were married and started their life's adventure.

He started his career in AgChem with Chevron Chemicals, where he spent 12 years. He then began work for Wilbur Ellis
and was known as "KC" to all and the company. He was constantly on the road again during the 34 years he spent with their W/E. He retired in December 2009.

Ken enjoy playing golf, even if Delaine got a lower score. He and Delaine took many great golf vacation with their friends. He also liked touring wineries, wine tasting and building a large collection of wines. Many late afternoons after retirement were spent on the deck looking over his yard, enjoying a good glass of wine and playing pinochle
with Delaine. Yard work was a past time that he and Delaine
both enjoyed.

Many of his lifelong friends got together often for coffee and breakfast,The "Old Gang" would tell tales on each other and reminisce about the old days.

One of his greatest joys in life was his daughter Kendall. He always had time for the "Daddy Do's", to lend and ear and
give advice.

Ken is survived by his wife,Delaine; daughter Kendall of Boise Idaho; sister Kelly Cowdrey-Foster of Olympia, Washington..;Aunt Doll Green of the Yakima; plus aunts, uncles and cousins; in addition,Delaine's many cousins, and many of his dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Wanda Cowdrey and his in-laws,Reiny and Fran Gohl.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.

At Ken's request there will be no funeral service or a memorial. He always said that his friends would toast him with a good glass of wine or play a round of golf and think of him.
