Anita "Annie" Contreras, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the age of 87.
Annie was born in Los Padillas, New Mexico to Ventura and Teodorita López. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Contreras and brother, Arsenio López.
Annie was a very religious woman dedicated to the Lord, she put her family first, always had a smile on her beautiful face, a true social butterfly, she knew how to brighten up your day and never had a bad day. Annie adored her family and loved spending time with them.
Annie is survived by children, Guadalupe Contreras, Cathy Trujillo and her husband, John, grandchildren John F. Contreras, Crystal Trujillo, Jovonn Trujillo and Jonathan Trujillo, great-grandchildren, Noah Trujillo and Joseph Beauchamp, sister, Lupita Baca and her husband, Johnny and numerous relatives and friends.
Annie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Visitation will take place at García Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by a reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Beauchamp, Guadalupe Contreras, John Trujillo, David Gonzáles, Steve Chávez, Ray Sánchez, Jerry Moya, Sammy Molina and Jonathan Trujillo.
