Mrs. Margaret J. Conner Anderson of Nathalie died Sunday, May 30, 2010, at her home.
She was born in Halifax County June 21, 1925 and was 84 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Herman Vaughan Conner Sr. and the late Lillian Anderson Conner and was married for 64 years to Clarence "Charlie" Lawson Anderson who survives.
She was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Anderson is survived by two sons, Donnie Lawson Anderson and wife, Carolyn, of South Boston and Carl David Anderson and wife, Daisy, of Wittman, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Mathew Anderson and wife, Katy, of Columbia, S.C., Margret D. Richburg and husband, Thad, of Arlington and Meredith P. Quinn and husband, Jeff, of Winterville, N.C.; one great-grandchild, Aaron Richburg of Arlington; three brothers, William Conner of Lynchburg, Roy Conner of Mint Springs and Mickey Conner of Virgilina; two sisters, Mildred Smith of Charlotte County and Grace Young of South Boston.
Four brothers, H.V. Conner Jr., Perry Conner, James "Butch" Conner and Bobby Conner, also preceded Mrs. Anderson in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Hunting Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. W.D. Mills and Lee Cooper conducting the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family received friends at the church Tuesday, June 1, 2010, from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home, 1183 Brad Smith Trail, Nathalie.
