Mrs. Barbara Marshall Natson Cone, age 48, passed into eternal rest on Monday, September 29, 2008, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. She was a Bulloch Country native and a member of Scsrboro Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Portal. She was a graduate of Statesboro High School Class of 1978 and graduated from Ogeechee Technial College class of 2002. She was employed as a license practical nurse at the Georgia Southern University Resource Health Services.
She leaves to cherished fond memories of her husband of 30 years, Sammy Lee Cone, Sr., of Statesboro; two daughters, Cassandra Ann (Reggie) Donaldson and Tiffany Cone, both of Statesboro; one son, Sammy Lee Cone, Jr. of Statesboro; her father, Eugene Natson, Sr. of Statesboro; one sister Betty McCall of Statesboro; three brothers, Eugene (Sara) Natson, Jr., Lavaughn (Barbara) Natson and Tony (Janice) Natson, all of Statesboro; a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Scarboro Grove Misssionary Baptist Church in Portal. The Rev. Frank L. Roberts, eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Cone will lie-in-state on Thursday ar Scarboro Grove Missionary Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
