Everett Eugene Collins Jr., 73, of 1857 East Eleventh Ave., Olive Hurst, Calif., died July 26, 1994 at the Fort Miley VA Hospital in San Francisco, Calif, Born In Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Everett E, Sr. and Gladys Butler Collins.

He was retired from the US. Army having served during World War 11 and was more recently employed by Tenco Tractor Co., Marysville, Calif. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a son, Phillip E. Collins of Olive Hurst; five sisters, Mrs. Ulric (Geraldine) Sligh of Columbia, S.C., Mrs. Press (Annie Lee) Gable of McCormick, S.C, Mrs. Will Joe (Argaree) Gable of Greenwood, S.C, Mrs. Charlie (Elvera) Shull of Anadele, Va Mrs. Melvin (Polly) Rodgers of Hendersonvllle, N.C.; two brothers, Ted Collins of Greenville, S.C, and Mack Collins of Greenwood, S.C', and seven grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday at 3 6m. in the Elmwood Cemetery in Inety Six with Rev, Hal Lane officiating. The body is at Blyth Funeral Home where the family will re' ceive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Joe Gable, 2113 Montague Ave., Greenwood. 1 Memorials may be made to Westslde Baptist Church Building Fund, 230 Kltson St., Greenwood S.C 29646.
