Gloria M. Collins died Thursday, June 27, 1991. She was a native and resident of Port Allen.

Survived by husband, Lloyd Collins Sr.; four sons, Sedric and Lloyd Collins Jr., both of Baton Rouge, U.S. Air Force Sgt. Randolph Collins, London, England, and U.S. Air Force Sgt. Hezekiah Collins, Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Paulette and Wanda Collins, both of Port Allen; three sisters, Sadie Alexander and Sylvia Brown, both of Port Allen, and Eloise Williams, Baton Rouge; six brothers, Henry Spooner, the Rev. Leo Nelson Sr., William Nelson Sr. and Ivory Nelson Sr., all of Port Allen, Hezekiah Nelson, Baton Rouge, and Herbert Nelson, Oakland, Calif.; three daughters-in-law, Sara Collins, Baton Rouge, U.S. Air Force Sgt. Joycelyn Taylor Collins, London, and Sheila Collins, Sacramento; 11 grandchildren, seven brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by parents, the Rev. John and Sylvia Washington Nelson; and two brothers, James and John E. Nelson III.

She was a member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church and the church choir.
