Lloyd Ellis Collins, Sr., a retired longshoreman and a resident of Port Allen, died at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at his residence. He was 73 and a native of Louisiana.
Survived by his wife, Margaret Henry Collins; two daughters, Paulette S. Collins and Wanda Niel Withdrow; five sons, the Rev. Lloyd P. and wife Sara, and Joshua Collins, all of Port Allen, Sedric and wife Maxine, and Randolph Sr. and wife Joyce Collins, all of Baton Rouge, and the Rev. Hezikiah and wife Sheila Collins; a sister, Janice C. Williams, Kenner; four brothers, Henry Carter and wife Mildred of California, Edward Sr. and wife Anna Belle, Alexander Sr. and wife Angelia, and Augustus Collins, all of Port Allen; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and first wife, Gloria N. Collins.
