Veda Marie "Polly" Click, 73, Springfield, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, in St. John's Regional Health Center.
Polly was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Howell County, Mo., to the late Ephram and Alice Annie Hall Coble. She married Edward O. Click on March 3, 1944. Polly was a military wife and mom through three wars. Her family simply called her, "The Best Mom in the World".
Polly and Ed's favorite past time was to gather with their friends and fellow fishermen and fisherwomen at Stockton Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Edward, of the home; a son and wife, Larry and Mickie Click, Springfield; a son and wife, Richard and Lynn Click, Springfield; a son, Gary Click, Lawrence, Kan,; a daughter, Trish Click, Springfield, Mo.; four sisters, Ida Mae Hammes, Minneapolis, Minn., Blanche Waller. Hernando, Miss., Juanita Smith, Hernando, and Thelma Hoschar, Fork, Wash.; four grandchildren, Andy, Ben and Katie Click, Springfield, Mo., and Lauren Click, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and two greatgrandchildren, Christopher and Timary Click, Springfield, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, with the Rev. Alf Halvorson officiating.
