MARY C. COBB
Mary Catherine Cobb, 78, St. Joseph, MO, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 8, 1927 in Frazier, MO, she was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph.
She married James Patrick Cobb on July 10, 1951. He died Nov. 8, 1982.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry Bishop and Mary Alice (Lyons) Long; and sister, Opal Middleton.
Mrs. Cobb was a homemaker. She very much enjoyed being with her friends and family, and loved playing dominoes.
She was a member of McCarthy Baptist Church in St. Joseph.
Survivors: two sons, Robert M. Cobb and wife Stacy; and James P. Cobb II and wife Sandy, all of Savannah, MO; two brothers, Milton Long and wife Beverly; and Louis Long and wife Mary Ella, all of St. Joseph; sister, Ruth Ella Brown of Olathe, KS; and six grandchildren, Megan, Marcus,Patrick, Sean, Janessa and Dustin Cobb.
Graveside services and inurnment: 10 a.m. Monday, Frazier Cemetery, Frazier, MO. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Meierhoffer Funeral Home and Crematory, St. Joseph, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday.
