Willar Bell was the daughter of John Stokes and Elizabeth Hastings of Georgia. She was the spouse of George Rawls Clifton, born Texas.

Mrs. Willar Bell Clifton, 74, died at her home, 1001 South Fifteenth Street, at 6:20 pm on Monday.

She was a native of Terrell County, GA but had resided in Waco for the past 28 years.

Funeral services were held at 3pm Thursday at Compton's Chapel with the Rev A Reilly Copeland officiating and Rev Maggart B Howell assisting, burial in Moore Cemetery at Chalk Bluff.

Survivors include five sons, C.D., Lee, G.P., T.C., and Willard Clifton, all of Waco; four daughters, Mrs. A.L. Marlow and Mrs. W.C. Howard, both of Waco, Mrs. Mae Westbrook of Dallas and Mrs. H. L. Shaw of Riverside, CA; five brothers, J.W. Stokes of Robinson, M.R. Stokes of Dallas, Lee Stokes of Waco, Bill Stokes of Temple and D.K. Stokes of Fort Worth; one sister Mrs. D.C. Lillard of Robinson; 1 niece, Mrs. Chlora Strand of OK; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Homer Clifton, Sgt. Weldon Clifton, Norman Clifton, Bill Edwards Jr., Don Marlow, Frank Weaver and Orville Bradley.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Doreas Sunday School Class of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
