She was united in marriage to William Merritt, and to this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Susan Hinckle, of Springfield, who survives her. Others surviving are an adopted daughter, Irene; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Logsdon of Waverly and Mrs. Louis Jossi of Eldorado, Kansas.

The body was brought to Waverly Thursday morning, and funeral services held in the Congregational church at 9:30 o'clock, in charge of the pastor, Rev. W. H. Fuller. Interment wasin East cemetery.
