Ardmore, OK — Services for Laura Lucille Biggs will be Saturday, May 15, 2010, 11 a.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dan Patman officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Laura was born November 20, 1910, at Shay, Okla., to Charles Curtis and Lula Nance Chesnut. She passed from this life on May 11, 2010, in Ardmore, at the age of 99.

She has lived in the Marshall and Carter County area all of her life. She and J.R. Biggs were married in Lone Grove on November 26, 1932. He has preceded her in death.

Laura was a homemaker. She enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting, and was an artist. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mattie Bruce Chapter and a member of Amaranth, and the First Baptist Church of Ardmore.

She is survived by her son, Charles Curtis Biggs; daughter, Carolyn Hayes Patterson and her husband, John R.; brother, Melvin Chesnut; grandchildren, Paul Biggs, Diane Hayes and Philip Biggs; great-grandchildren, Brandon Lehew and wife, Kim, Ashley, Anabelle and Dylan Biggs; great-great-grandchildren, Alexis and Jordan Lehew; longtime family friends, Lucy Anderson and Patty Hicks; and members of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.

Special thanks to Dr. Kevin Reed, Dr. Richard Greisman, and Cross Timbers Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Curtis and Lula Chesnut; husband, J.R. Biggs; grandson, David Hayes; sister, Lottie Mitchell Pister; and brothers, Curtis, Claude and Ernest Chesnut.

Pallbearers will be Paul Biggs, Philip Biggs, Brandon Lehew, Alan Brown, Danny Steele, John Dehart and Clayton Fields.
