Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Llano East Cemetery with Glen Walton, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St.
Mrs. Ayers was born in Shamrock and moved to Amarillo more than 25 years ago. She was a private-duty licensed vocational nurse for many years working at various hospitals and nursing homes in the Panhandle area.
She married James Ayers in 1951 at Shamrock.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, James Ayers Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Chapaula Ayers of Amarillo; three sisters, Mary McAllister of Dumas, Frances Treat of Pampa and Rita Moser of Longview; two brothers, Gene Chapman of Ore City and Larry Chapman of Pampa; and a granddaughter.
