Funeral services were held Friday in the Hahn funeral home in Oklahoma City for Mrs. LELA CHAPMAN, age 53, a resident of Oklahoma City for the past ten years, who died of a heart ailment Thursday morning at her home, 2108 S. Eastern Ave. She had been in ill health the past years.
Mrs. Chapman was the mother of F. L. CHAPMAN, well known bookkeeper at Wirt Franklin Oil Co. north of Healdton. Surviving are her companion, H. T. CHAPMAN; six daughters, MORRELL and EMMA JEAN of the home; Mrs. RHODA SUE TALLEY of Oklahoma City; Mrs. WYODA UNDERWOOD of Anadarko, and Mrs. JAQUELINE FIELD of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. BOBBIE LEE STANLEY of Corpus Christi, Texas, and seven sons, LWELL, THURMAN, HOUSTON, BILLY JOE, LESLIE RAY and CLARK WAYNE of Oklahoma City, and FAIR LEE of Healdton.
Mrs. Chapman's death was the first in the family with all 13 children still living.
