Mrs. Anna Slatten Carter, 94, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Sadye Lancaster, 210 Kilmer Drive, after a long illness. A native of Scott County, she was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church.
Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Brown, Ohio, and Mrs Walter Stuart, California; a son, Thomas B. Carter, Florida, and nine grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel by the Rev. John W. Kruschwitz. Burial was in the Versailles Cemetery.
Bearers were Carter Lancaster, Darrell Easterday, Howard Campbell, Eddie Barnes, Forrest Tilghman and Carl Slatten.
