Alberta C. Campen, 79, of Bartonville passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.


She was born June 20, 1929, in Logan-Trivoli Township to John and Reaka (Johnson) Grafelman. She married Harry E. Campen on July 29, 1950, at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville. He died on Nov. 1, 1995.


Surviving are her children, Sue (Jack) Rosenak of Bartonville and Jay (Amy) Campen of Alpharetta, Ga.; and one brother, Dale (Brenda) Grafelman of Mapleton.


She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lester Grafelman.


Alberta graduated from Manual High School in 1947, and later worked in the accounting departments at Sears and Caterpillar.


She was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed playing pinochle.


Alberta was a 70-year member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville, where she belonged to the quilting guild and had been president for several years.


Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
