Mrs. Hulda Maria Lundstedt Campbell, 78, of 410 N. Main, died at the Cooley Memorial Hospital Tuesday evening after an extended illness.
Mrs. Campbell was born Dec. 24, 1887, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Carl Johan and Matilda Malquist Lundstedt. She was graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City and received a teaching degree from the University of Utah.
She formerly taught school in North Ogden for eight years
She was married to Julius H. Campbell on June 3, 1914, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. The couple homesteaded near Soda Springs, Idaho, and later lived in Corinne and St. George, Utah, Las Vegas, Nev., and Pacific Palisades, Calif.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served as president of the MIA, was Relief Society Literary Teacher and teacher in other organizations.
Surviving are her husband, the following sons; Harmon J. Campbell, Melvin J. Campbell, both of Brigham City; Douglas H. Campbell, Salt Lake City; Reed L. Campbell, Pacific Palisades, Calif.; Walter K. Campbell, Santa Maria, Calif.; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Ethel Holt, Syracuse; Albin Lundstedt, Tarzana, Calif.; Fred Lundstedt, San Francisco.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Corinne Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Felt Funeral Home in Brigham City Friday from 1 to 9 p.m. and at ward chapel Saturday from 11 a.m. until services. Burial in Brigham City Cemetery.
