Death Followed An Illness Extending Over Three Years
George Walter Cahill died early Sunday evening at his farm home in Janesville Township following an illness that extended over a period of three years. He had been up and about until a day or so before his demise and his passing came as a shock to his many friends and neighbors.

On January 27, 1891, he was joined in the bonds of matrimony with Miss Mary McDonough of Janesville and the ceremony was performed at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Surviving the deceased are his widow and four children as follows: Frank Cahill, St. Peter, Minn.; James, Esther and Leo at home. A son, John died in 1910 at the age of eighteen years.
