Services for Everett L. "Buzz" Busbea, 71, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at City of Lubbock Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Winn officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

He died Thursday, June 24, 1999, in the V.A. Hospital in Amarillo.

He was born on Aug. 15, 1927 in White County, Ark.

He married Ruth Lockeby on Feb. 14, 1952, in Clovis, N.M. She died on June 7, 1975. He was a plumber with Armstrong Mechanical for eight years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, Rick of Lubbock; two daughters, Debra Weems of Lubbock and Rita Womack of Mineral Wells; a brother, Earl of Shallowater; two sisters, Inez Nichols and Dean O'Razda, both of Alaska; and nine grandchildren.
