SPRINGVILLE, VA. – Alice Luvennie (Granny) Burkett Angles, 84, of Springville, died Monday, January 6, 1992 at a Bluefield hospital.
Born July 28, 1907 in Bluefield, Va., she was a daughter of the late Tom and Maggie Burkett.
She attended the First Church of God in Tazewell, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Daniel Angles, Sr., one son, Robert Daniel Angles, Jr.; one sister, two brothers and one great-grandson.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Frank (Louise) Bailey, Mrs. Bill (Jean) Earls, Mrs. Douglas (Eunice) Doss and Mrs. Eugene (Cathleen) Shrader, all of Springville and Mrs. Eugene (Anna Mae) Fuller of Bluefield, Va.; brother, James Burkett of Oakridge, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va., with the Rev. Max Linkous, and the Rev. Robert Buckles and Johnny Elmore officiating.
Burial will be at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Anna Mae) Fuller, College Drive (Leatherwood Farm) Bluefield, Va.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Bailey, Billy Earls, Jr., Danny Angles, Timmy Doss, Gene Eskut, and Gary Bailey.
