Alex was preceded in death by his wife Ruth. He is survived by his two children son Ken (Mary) of Gig Harbor, daughter Kathy ( Ken) Martin of Lakebay. His four grandchildren Jeff, Theresa, and Patty Brown and Kevin Martin, and one sister Dorothy and many nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S Navy as a chief electricians mate in the Seabees during World War II. Alex worked and retired from Tacoma City Light in 1976 to his family Angus farm in Longbranch Washington where he spend many happy years in retirement. He was an active member of the First Church of Christ Scientists in Purdy, a member of the former Upper Sound Grange and many Agricultural associations. He enjoyed fly fishing and any activity that the grandkids were in. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always joking with everyone. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2007 at the Mountain View Valley Chapel , located at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Tacoma, WA. 98499, 253-584-0252. In lieu of flowers memorial Donations are encouraged to Washington FFA Foundation, P.O. Box 14633, Tumwater, WA. 98511-4633
