Funeral services for John P. “Jack” Brooks, 78, of 1210 McCabe, Rock Springs, were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the Vase Funeral Home, the Rev. Roy A. Miller of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Mountain View section of Rock Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul A. Nicksich Jr., Fern A. Fisher, James Grasso, Dwight J. Jones, Gary E. Johnston and Joseph A. Hoff.
Mr. Brooks died Tuesday, July 15, at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where he had been a patient one hour. He had been in ill health for several months.
Born May 17, 1895 in England, he married Clara Crofts in Rock Springs Jan. 20, 1945. She preceded him in death July 15, 1968.
A longtime Rock Springs resident, Mr. Brooks was a retired gas company employee.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Mrs. L.D. (Florence) Seymour, Rock Springs, and several nieces and nephews, including Elsie Hiner of Rock Springs.
