Lauva Estelle Briles, 79, died Friday, Sept. 5, 1997.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Mennonite Brethren Church in Adams with the Rev. Greg Keith officiating. Burial will be in the Union Center Cemetery by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker.

Mrs. Briles was born in Overbrook, Kan. She and her husband farmed east of Adams until they retired in 1974. She moved to Alva in 1978 and then to Hooker in 1986.

Mrs. Briles was a member of the Union Center Methodist Church near Adams. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

She married Clyde E. Briles in 1935 at Liberal, Kan. He died in 1993.

Survivors include a son, Darrell Briles of Polson, Mont.; two daughters,Clydena Mae McCollum of Hooker and Bernell Sue Richards of Hardesty; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the Union Center Methodist Church in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 745, Hooker, Okla., 73945.
