Florence Irene Blasingame, 101, formerly of Blodgett, MO, died at 7:50 a.m. Jan. 19, 2010, in Tucson, AZ.
Born April 23, 1908, in Paulding, MO, to the late Zebbie Dee and Della Ann Eskew Branam, she was a member of the Church of Christ in Blodgett. She was a housewife and farmed with her husband. She worked more than 20 years at the Sports Specialty Shoe Factory in Chaffee, MO, until her retirement.
On March 21, 1925, at Newport, AR, she married Carl W. Blasingame, who preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1978.
She was also preceded in death by: one son, Charles Blasingame; one brother, Claude Branam; two sisters, Beatrice Sickler and Thelma Lena Brown; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell and Geneva Blasingame and Lonny and Sharon Blasingame; three daughters and a son-in-law, Joan Pearson, Nelda Broyles and Joyce and Edward Householder; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO, where services were set with Lowell Blasingame, minister of the Van Dorn Church of Christ in Grenada officiating, assisted by Russell Rice, minister of the Blodgett Church of Christ.
Burial followed in the New Morley Cemetery in Morley, MO.
Pallbearers were Dale Blasingame, Keith Householder, Steven Carmickle, Gene Carmickle, Thomas Robbins, Kevin Robbins, Scott Broyles and Tim Wade.
