Charles William Board, 52, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 2, 2011. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Dillard Board; and sister, Donna Board Horton. He is survived by his sons, Edward Board and wife, Alyssa, Joshua Board and their mother, Jacqueline Board; special grandchildren, Makenzie and Aubrey Board; devoted and loving mother, Uldine Orange Board; sisters, Pat and (Ronnie) Underwood, Linda Moses, Judy Shorter and (Marshall); nieces and nephews, Shannon Underwood and family, Amy Croy and family, Cory Moses, Jessica Myers and family; numerous aunts, uncles and many special friends. The family would like to give special thanks to sixth south CSICU staff and doctors at Carilion RMH. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Oakey's North Chapel.
