A beloved woman who loved the Lord

She met with Jesus and arrived at her eternal home with Him on June 13, 2007.

Under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Rosewood Park, inside the air conditioned mausoleum, located on F.M. 1844 in Longview. Dr. Rick Webb, chaplain at Buckner Westminster Place, will officiate the services.

Olive was born November 25, 1919, and she spent her early years in Bellevue and Henrietta. She was a graduate of North Texas University and was a teacher and homemaker. She married Harry J. Bissell in 1947, and they had two sons before moving to Longview in 1954.

Olive was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Clyde Hall Sunday School Class, the Woman's Forum and the American Needlepoint Guild. In addition to her needlework, Olive enjoyed participating in Bridge Club, and midweek Bible studies at Buckner Westminster Place.

Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Bissell; and her youngest son, Larry L. Bissell.

Olive is survived by her son, Jay Bissell and wife, Nancy; a granddaughter, Lisa DeGeeter and husband, Rob; great-grandsons, Joshua and Noah; and cousins, Beth Leach and Mike Leach.

Those desiring to send memorial contributions may consider Newgate Ministries Mission, 207 S. Mobberly Ave.; First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 400 N. Fredonia; Asbury House Child Enrichment Center, 320 S. Center, all in Longview, Texas; or the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. this evening, June 15, 2007, Rader Funeral Home, located at 1617 Judson Rd., Longview.
