JESSE E. BIDDIX
Jesse E. Biddix, 59, died this morning at 8 o'clock at his home at 216 North Morris street, following an illness of several weeks.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Cordie Carpenter Biddix, at the home on Morris street; six sons, John, Tom and George Biddix, all of Gastonia, Steve of Dallas, Baxter of Clover, S.C., and Williard of Andrews, and one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Hutchinson of Landon, S.C.
Also surviving are a brother, Tom Biddix of Spruce Pine, and two sisters, Miss Dim Biddix of Gastonia and Mrs. Caroline Hollifield of Cherokee Falls, S.C.
Deceased was a member of Calvary Baptist church, South Gastonia.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the late residence on North Morris street. Rev. George Davis, pastor of Marietta Street Baptist church, will officiate. Interment will be in Hollywood cemetery.
