The following obituary appeared in the "Patriot-News" (Harrisburg, PA) on December 29, 2013:

Jean B. Baker, beloved wife of Robert R. Baker for 63 years, died on December 26, 2013. He preceded her in death in 2007. Jean was the daughter of Chauncey and Ada (Manning) Benfer. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Olenski, infant granddaughter, Alisa Beth Canulli, two brothers, James W. Benfer and David M. Benfer. She is survived by a daughter, Beth and her husband Louis J. Canulli of Montpelier, VA, son-in-law, Byron Olenski, of Newport, PA, grandson, Joshua A. Canulli and his wife Kelly, of Midlothian, VA, two great grandsons, Brody and Grayson Canulli. In addition she is survived by her loving companion, her dachshund, "Katy". Jean graduated in the Class of 1942 with honors from Marysville High School and from Central Penn Business College. Her work career began in the Personnel Dept. at the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. For many years she devoted her life to raising her family, and then as a tax appeal hearing agent for the PA Dept. of Revenue for 15 years. She served in many capacities with the Girl Scouts of America and numerous church and communitiy activities. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and attended the Wesley United Methodist Church of Marysville. Her body will be cremated and her ashes co-mingled with her husband's ashes and buried in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
