J. Estadella Bell of 814 J Street, Eureka, died in a local hospital on Wednesday morning after a lengthy illness. She was from the pioneer Josiah Bell family of Eureka, born in Trinidad on September 15, 1873. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Eureka and active in the women's guilds.

She leaves her sister, Mrs. C. J. (Ada) Craddock of Eureka; nieces, Mrs. Frank Feliz of San Francisco, Mrs. Clarence LaBoyteaux of Alameda, Mrs. Everett Brown of Eureka; a cousin, Mrs. Charles Falk of San Francisco; and many other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J. Thomas Lewis officiating. Encryptment will be in Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of Pierce Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Harold Charters, Charles Stewart, Charles Yuill, Charles Edson, Christie Palmtag and Terry Metcalf.

J. Estadella was the daughter of Josiah Bell and Angeline Beam; sister of Mary Amelia "Minnie", Ada A.; Frances F., Harry Herman Bell.

Josiah, born February 17, 1837 in Stamford, CT, passed away August 1, 1920, in Humboldt County, CA.

Angeline, born January 3, 1840 in Wisconsin, passed away July 21, 1919, in Humboldt County, CA.

Mary Amelia (Bell) Carson, born August 22, 1865, in Humboldt County, passed away January 5, 1944, in Humboldt County.

Frances, born in 1874, passed away sometime after 1880 but before 1900 based on census records.

Harry was born January 4, 1877 in Humboldt County, CA; his date of death is unknown.
