Alice Becker, a longtime Sunnyside resident, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, Nov. 2, 2009. Alice was born December 9, 1929 in Denton, TX to Richard and May Cockburn.

The family moved to Sunnyside, WA in 1938 where she has resided the past 71 years. She enjoyed fishing, reading and watching the Mariner's. She was well known by many friends and neighbors and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed going to all of her great grandchildren's sporting events and was know by all of the teams as Grandma Alice.

Alice Becker is survived by her son, Richard Kent Becker of Sunnyside, WA, daughter, Barbara Fanning of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren Kristi and husband Kris Hogaboam of Prosser, Shellie and husband Bob Morgan of Richland and Tyson Culver of Austin, TX and four great grandchildren Blake and Whitney Milne, and Dalton and Brandon Morgan and Gavin Culver and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rinehold Becker and her parents and siblings. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA
