Mary Arden Beaver, 98, of 2741 N Salisbury Street, West Lafayette, died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, in Westminster Health Care. She taught elementary school for 35 yeas, the last 15 years of her career in the Lafayette School Corp. Born in Jackson Township in Tippecanoe County on March 13, 1898, she attended Purdue, Indiana, Indiana State and Valparaiso universities. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Delta Kappa Gamma sorority Theta Chapter and The National, Indiana and Lafayette Retired Teachers Associations. There are no immediate survivors. Interment in Sugar Grove Cemetery, near New Richmond.
