Aaron Doyle Bean, 65, of Groveland died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Pekin Hospital in Pekin.


Born April 26, 1940, in Baxter, Tenn., to Cleburne H. and Nerva Lou Painter Bean, he married Barbara Jean Frutiger Bowen on Dec. 22, 1967, in Peoria. She survives.


Also surviving are his mother of East Peoria; and two brothers, Louis of Washington, D.C., and Richard (and Wanda) of Germantown Hills.


He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister.


He was an Army veteran, serving from 1963 to 1965.


He worked at Caterpillar Inc. and L.R. Nelson Corp. for several years and owned Design Systems Inc. in Morton until retiring in January 2005.


He was a member of Alta Masonic Lodge 748, AF&AM; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria; and Mohammed Temple, Shrine, in Peoria.


Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
