Bobby Lewis Beacham, 60, of Buford, surrounded by his loved ones, passed away Wednesday evening following a massive heart attack.

Bobby was born in Dublin, Georgia and is a 1968 Graduate of Dublin High School where he played basketball and football. He entered the Navy in 1969 serving as an Air Traffic Controller stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Virginia Beach.

Following discharge from the Navy, Bobby moved to Atlanta where he worked as a bartender/manager for various establishments including Mullenbrinks, Ruby Reds and Harrisons on Peachtree.

Bobby's outgoing personality led him to sales and he enjoyed a 24-year career in the paper product industry. He was with Dade Paper Company for many of those.

Bobby is survived by his Wife Sara, Son Christopher, Daughter Lauren, Sister and brother-in-law Karon & Orlando Martinez of Braselton, Sister Jean Sapp of Ohio, Niece and her husband Niki and Brian Garnto of Dublin, Father and mother-in-law William and Virginia Cooper of Dacula, Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Linda and Warren Moore and Nephew William Sessa of Buford.

He is preceded in death by his Mother, Queenie Hall Beacham, and his Father, Newton Theo Beacham.

Arrangements will be handled by Memorial Park South, 4121 Falcon Parkway, Flowery Branch, Ga 30542. Visitation will be held Friday evening 6-8PM. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 3PM in the Chapel, with burial following in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Published in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on April 16, 2010
