Mrs. George Beach, 72, 1419 1/2 Silver St., a Sioux City resident for nearly 20 years, died Sunday Nov. 2, 1975 at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home, 711 Myrtle St., with Rev. Ronald Follmer of Morningside Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Akron, Iowa.
Pallbearers will be Gary and Gerald Beach, Tim Holmberg, Darcy Fletcher and Delbert and Lawrence Maynard.
Mrs. Beach, the former Loie Maynard, was born on Feb. 8, 1903 in Elk Point, S.D., and she married on July 12, 1920. The Beachs lived in Westfield and Chatsworth, Iowa, before moving to Sioux City in 1956. She worked for several years on the tray service at the former Lutheran Hospital until she was forced to retire due to ill health.
Survivors include the widower; two sons, Kenneth of Burbank, S.D., and Wayne of Sergeant Bluff; her mother. Mrs. Ada Maynard of Elk Point; a sister; Mrs. Cloie Nearman of Sioux City; two brothers Ira Maynard of Sioux City and Sidney Maynard of Westfield; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
