Mrs. Barbara Kesterson Bartley, 27, of 511 Betsy Bell Road, died at King’s Daughters’ Hospital Wednesday afternoon, May 17, 1971. She was born in Augusta County, Dec. 1, 1943, a daughter of Charles P. and Frances Cline Kesterson.

Mrs. Bartley attended Wilson Memorial High School and was employed by Genesco at Verona.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Jerry L. Bartley; six sisters, Nancy K. Taylor, Rebecca Gregory, Sara Lee Helmick, all of Staunton and Joyce Armstrong, Mt. Sidney and Donna Kesterson and Sue Kesterson, both at home ; two brothers, Roy W. and Jerry Kesterson both at home; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cline of Route 1, Middlebrook.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the East Chapel of Hamrick Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Woodward D. Morriss, pastor of Third Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Maybush, William Ellinger, Wade Staton, Joseph Sheffer, Frank Shiflett, Marshall Helmick, W. F. Hoy, Jr. and Jerry Madison. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
