Obituary
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Edith C. Barousse, 90, the former Edith Cormier. Mrs. Barousse, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 10:12 P.M. Wednesday, September 5 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Church Point.

Survivors include a son, Maurice Barousse, Jr. and wife Millie of Breaux Bridge, La.; two daughters, Anna LeJeune and husband Irby and Lorie Daigle and husband Ricky-all of Church Point; two brothers, Albert Cormier and wife Valerie of Church Point and Herbert Cormier and wife “Jean” of Lake Charles, La.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Barousse, Sr. and her parents, Martin and Ermine (Olivier) Cormier.

Visiting hours were observed from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, September 7 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services.

A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
