Mr. Maurice Barousse
Funeral services were held Friday, June 16, 2000, in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Maurice Barousse, 78 of Church Point. He was a retired truck driver.
Mr. Barousse died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 14 in the Acadia-St. Landry Hospital.
Burial was in the church mausoleum under the direction of Guidry Funeral Home.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday evening.
Msgr. Fred Swenson officiated at the funeral mass and services.
Survivors are his wife, Edith Cormier Barousse of Church Point; one son, Maurice Barousse, Jr; and wife Millie of Cecilia; two daughters, Anna Lejeune and husband, Irby and Lorie Daigle and husband, Ricky both of Church Point; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 225 of Church Point and W.O.W. Camp 444.
