The funeral of Jefferson D. Barnes, 53 years old, who died at 11:30 o'clock Sunday morning at his home, 610 Day street, was held at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the residence, the Rev. Mr. Jones of West End Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment was made in City Cemetery No. 6. Mr. Barnes had been a resident in San Antonio for the last 30 years. He is survived by three sons, Lee, Roy and Alvin Barnes; four daughters, Mrs. Maggie Bean of St. Louis, Mo., Misses Lola, Bertie and Addie May Barnes, and two sisters, Mrs. Lula Chase of this city and Mrs. L. Richardson of Jourdanton.
