LEXINGTON - Funeral service for Novelle Rish Barnes, 59, of Lexington, will be at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial in Lybrand Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes, beloved wife of Steven Barnes, passed away on July 27, 2013. Born in Richland County, she was a daughter of Edith Williams Rish and the late Harold Rish. She was a lifetime area resident and Manager of Rish Flower Shop. She was a member of the SC Florist Association and Midlands Florist Association. She was an RN working at local hospitals for 20 years and a member of the SC Nurses Association. She was an avid cat lover. She loved her family and grandkids; keeping her grandkids brought her great joy. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Steven Barnes, are daughters, Michelle Oxley (Tim) and Becky Broome (Travis); son, Steven Barnes Jr. (Jennifer); grandchildren, Timothy, Celeste, Cameron, Jacob, Camie and Branson; sister, Clarice Richards (Don); brothers, Rex Rish (Sylvia) and DeFoix Rish (Laurie); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
